Tyler Perry is buying a new home for a 93-year-old woman who could lose the South Carolina home her family has owned since the Civil War.
Sources tell TMZ that the filmmaker is "building Josephine Wright a five-bedroom home in South Carolina to replace the one she's living in with her grandkids, which is also at the center of a bitter land dispute."
A construction crew will reportedly break ground on the home in the coming weeks.
Wright has been in a legal war with the Bailey Point Investment Group, which wants to buy her land in Hilton Head. She has refused since it's been in her family for generations but the company has filed a lawsuit to seize her property.
Then, in September, a tree fell on the home and damaged the roof.
