TeeRoy's 2 Cents:
Some Americans still can't relate to soccer.
Soccer can be exciting. I just wish there was more scoring.
It's hard not to get caught up in World Cup fever.
The United States men's national team is advancing to the round of 16 after Tuesday's 1-0 win over Iran in the World Cup.
Yet the win cost the team. Christian Pulisic was injured while scoring the game's only goal and was later taken to the hospital for tests. Team manager Gregg Berhalter said the hospital visit was "precautionary" after he suffered an abdominal injury.
Pulisic was hurt when he crashed into Iran goalie Alireza Beiranvand while scoring what turned out to be the winning goal. After remaining on the ground for a few minutes, he tried to re-enter the game, but was taken out during halftime.
But there's good news. Pulisic shared a message on Snapchat from the hospital saying he'd be ready for Saturday's game against the Netherlands. (CBS News)
