Young Thug has apologized to his girlfriend Mariah The Scientist after several unflattering video calls from his time in jail were posted online during Christmastime.
It all started the day before Christmas Eve when Law & Crime posted video calls from his time in jail after the outlet obtained them through the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA). In one video, Thugger and model Leena Sayed, the mother of boxer Devin Haney's child, have an emotional conversation about their alleged feelings for one another.
"I don't like anyone," she says in between sobs. "No one's like you. I don't like them... I want you."
Their conversation was timestamped on July 29, 2022. After the video was released, Sayed took to Instagram to refute any misconceptions about her current stance on the rapper, who was recently released from jail. In her Instagram Story, Sayed wrote, "That video was before I met my bd… I would never talk to Thug or any other man." The conversation allegedly happened before she met Haney and had his child. There were reports that the couple got married in 2023, however, neither the boxer nor the model has confirmed the news. Thugger also denied having any type of romantic relationship with Sayed.
"Man me and twin was talking bout some whole other serious s**t," he wrote on X. "I don’t know y she spoke on loving other people or anything else cause ain giving no f**k bout no h*es or n***as I’m the capital P lol that’s my twin and nothing else. Never have never will lol."
"I can have that lil s**t right now if I wanted it, but she been pushing the p harder then n***as lol that’s the twin…I got who I want," he added.
The videos shocked Thug's fans since the rapper was dating Mariah The Scientist while he was locked up. In another video, Thugger continued to stun fans by saying Mariah loved him "too much" during a conversation with one of his attorneys Geoffrey Ogunlesi. The video call happened a couple of weeks after he was initially arrested on various charges along with other members of Young Stoner Life. Despite the outlandish comment, Thug said Mariah would be heartbroken if he messed things up.
Thugger continued to prove his love for Mariah in a separate video call that was posted. In it, he gushes over his girlfriend just like he did in a previous call that was shared earlier this year. Fans believed there was trouble in paradise after Thug posted Mariah's response to him wishing her a Merry Christmas. However, it looks like the two are on the mend. He formally apologized to her and was spotted boo'd up with her in California.
