- That this isn’t mandatory tells you all you need to know.
- Why is Common involved with this? That just seems random.
- The idea of changing implicit bias in a few hours is laughable. Starbucks needs to commit to this effort in the long run -- it's a marathon, not a sprint.
- They needed to do some kind of damage control to repair their image and win back public trust.
- When you have as many employees as Starbucks does, it's impossible to get everyone to align with your core values.

The racial-bias workshop will include video messages recorded by Com and company executives. Sessions are not mandatory, but employees will be compensated should they choose to attend.
