"Calling My Phone" Goes Platinum For Lil Tjay

Lil Tjay's “Calling My Phone,” featuring 6LACK has certified platinum after moving 1 million units.

“Calling My Phone” received over 60 million streams in its first week, with over 29 million plays coming from the US alone, giving Lil Tjay and 6LACK their highest charting debut and career chart peak. With a huge target placed on his new album, TJay brings in Offset, Polo G, 6LACK, Saweetie, Tyga, Moneybagg Yo, Fivio Foreign and Toosii on the features.

“The reason I named the album Destined 2 Win cause I always felt like I had something in me that was going to be great. It’s just a body of work to highlight my accomplishments,” says Lil Tjay. “I’m still trying to figure out my lane. Whatever happened in my life is what got me here. If I didn’t go through some of these experiences then I probably wouldn’t be myself. There’s always obstacles, I’m pretty sure there’s going to be more obstacles and I just know I’m going to be able to fight through it. You know? Destined 2 Win.”

For the release he enlisted Mike Tyson for the trailer.

Lil Tjay's is losing a boxing match, when his body hits the floor and time slows down. He hears Mike Tyson’s voice which inspires him.
