The Breakfast Club: Machine Gun Kelly Breaks Down His Feud With Eminem

Machine Gun Kelly dropped by The Breakfast Club to break down his feud with Eminem. The two rappers have been firing off diss tracks over the past month and things have gotten ugly. Their beef stems from a Tweet MGK posted in 2012 about Eminem's daughter Hailie, calling her "hot as f*ck." MGK claims the two settled it privately six years ago and that the call out on Kamikaze was a total surprise. Hailie was 16 at time, but MGK claims he didn't know how old she was. "I'm a father. I have a 9-year-old daughter. I get it. One hundred percent. Can I apologize? Can I take the tweet down? Sure. But a public apology? Come on, man." MGK won't apologize publicly because of Eminem's reputation for "shitting on dead people" and "Christopher Reeves, who was in a wheel chair." He also says that it was "a silly comment to have started all of this."

MGK and Em are both signed to Interscope, which has created some workplace tension. According to MGK, the company is divided over the rappers' beef with each other. "The problem comes when the people assigned to work for me aren't working," MGK said on The Breakfast Club. "They're picking sides." He denies that this whole thing is just a ploy from Interscope to help him sell records.

MGK calls Eminem out of touch, too, citing his lyrics on "Killshot." "We're talking about facts, you want to talk about man buns? Answer the facts. You want to talk about a hair style I wore in a blockbuster movie? And a 10 episode Showtime series called Roadies? I'm an actor, homie. How disconnected are you? You called me a mumble rapper? Oh my god. Can we just pour some out for this old dumb a**?" MGK then proceeded to actually poor tequila on the floor.

MGK also addressed his ongoing beef with G-Eazy. When asked if he really did "smash" Halsey, MGK said "absolutely." He also claims to have smashed "many" of G-Eazy's girlfriends in the past and that he doesn't need "to say no names." When Angela Yee pointed out that Halsey is an innocent bystander in all this, MGK agreed. "That was when she and I were rockin'," he explains. "That was back when I had [a man bun]. I don't know why she keeps getting thrown in it. I never said no name. Of course I'm going to throw a punch line in, because I know it hurts. And this is hip hop."

MGK spoke about Mac Miller's recent death, as well as his own drug use. The 28-year-old rapper said Mac's apparent overdose has not swayed him to stop using drugs, calling them his escape. "I almost was Mac," MGK said of his own addictions. While he didn't want to get into it too much out of respect for his fellow rapper, MGK says his new EP Binge confronts his addictions and demons.

Binge drops on Friday, September 21st. Check out the full interview about for more on Eminem, G-Eazy, and Mac Miller.
