Summer Walker Is Done 'Playing Games' In Vengeful New Music Video

Summer Walker has had enough of the bull-ish in her latest music video. Earlier this week, the Atlanta singer-songwriter delivered the visual for her single “Playing Games,” a sweet tell-off record featuring Bryson Tiller, with a sinister display to match.

The two-and-a-half minute clip opens with the scorned 23-year-old lounging lonesomely in bed with a look of disappointment as her lover — who albeit offers her a life in the lap of luxury — fails to realize that real love doesn’t come with a price tag. “All I ever asked was you to pick up the phone when you alone/ All I ever asked was you to show me some love, kisses and hugs,” Walker sings in the opening verse of her ballad.

Yet, after being blown off one too many times, Walker’s frustration takes a twisted turn as the songbird opts for payback to teach her sweetheart a deadly lesson, as imagined in a number of various hostage scenarios. A cautionary tale if there ever was one, by video's end the songstress warns she's not one to be played with.

“Playing Games” is the lead single off her debut studio album, Over It, which arrived October 4. The 18-song LP includes a number of featured records with artists like Drake, Jhene Aiko, Usher and others. Doubling down on the excitement of releasing her first LP, Walker delivered a sexy follow-up single featuring A Boogie wit da Hoodie called "Stretch You Out."
